Leaving a 9–5 to pursue photography full time is exciting. It’s also the moment when photography suddenly has to become more than something you’re talented at.
You have to figure out pricing. Marketing. SEO. Your website. Inquiries. Conversions. Client experience. And about a hundred other pieces that come with running an actual business.
That’s exactly where Hannah Ellis of Hannah Ellis Photography found herself when she joined Passion to Profit.

Hannah is a wedding, couples, and senior photographer based in Tupelo, Mississippi, serving North Mississippi and traveling throughout areas including Oxford, Birmingham, Starkville, New Orleans, and Chattanooga.
Her photography style is authentic, adventurous, warm, and elevated, with an experience designed to help clients feel comfortable, confident, and completely themselves in front of her camera.

But when Hannah left her 9–5 to pursue photography full time, she knew she needed help turning her talent into a sustainable business.
And the growth she has experienced since then? It goes FAR beyond booking a few more weddings.
From Photographer to Business Owner
When Hannah entered Passion to Profit, she already knew photography was the career she wanted.

What she didn’t have was a roadmap for the business behind it.
“I jumped into the wedding industry with a passion for capturing love stories, but I needed guidance in how to actually run a sustainable wedding photography business.”
Like so many photographers, Hannah was trying to navigate questions that don’t necessarily have obvious answers.
How much should I charge?
How do I market myself consistently?
How do I attract clients who value what I do?
What should my website actually say?
And perhaps most importantly: How do I know if I’m making the right decisions?

Hannah was also building her business in a smaller market, which made confidently valuing and pricing her work even more challenging.
She wanted clients who aligned with her vision, but she needed a stronger strategy for reaching them and converting their interest into actual bookings.
Building a Marketing Strategy That Actually Converts
Inside Passion to Profit, we didn’t focus on one tiny piece of Hannah’s business.
We worked on the whole picture.
Hannah strengthened her marketing strategy, improved the flow of her website, learned how to use intentional messaging that converts, worked on her pricing, strengthened her SEO, and completely transformed her inquiry process.
But one of the biggest changes wasn’t something you could necessarily see on Instagram.
It was how Hannah began viewing herself.

She stopped approaching her business as a photographer trying to figure everything out and started making decisions as a business owner.
“I carried a lot of imposter syndrome because I was constantly questioning if I was making the right decisions without a clear roadmap. This program gave me the confidence and tools to trust my decisions.”
And that confidence started showing up in the numbers.
The Results: Higher Prices, More Inquiries and Better Conversions
Hannah’s growth since joining Passion to Profit has been incredible.
She has:
- More than doubled her Instagram following
- Taken her website from not ranking at all to reaching page one in her SEO area
- Increased her average bookings from around $1,500 to $3,000–$4,000 collections
- More than doubled her inquiries
- Significantly increased her conversion rate
- Converted every couple who booked a call with her into a client
- Generated more gross income in Q1 and Q2 alone than she did during all of 2025
That last one deserves another read.

Hannah’s gross income during the first half of this year surpassed her entire previous year’s business income.
But there’s another number I love just as much.
Within Hannah’s first three months in Passion to Profit, she booked her highest-paying wedding at the time.
That ONE booking paid for the entire program.
The Growth That Doesn’t Fit Into a Spreadsheet
Revenue and bookings matter. Of course they do.
But Hannah will also tell you that some of her most important results aren’t the ones you can plug into a spreadsheet.
She gained confidence in her marketing.
She created stronger backend systems.
She learned to trust herself when making business decisions.
And instead of feeling like she had to figure out this industry alone, she found a community of photographers doing it alongside her.
“Through Passion to Profit, I’ve built friendships with photographers across the country, gained a community that genuinely supports and encourages each other, and found people I can lean on throughout this journey.”
Hannah also describes the annual Passion to Profit retreat as one of the most meaningful experiences she’s had in her photography career.
And THIS is why I believe so strongly that business growth isn’t just about handing you another course and saying, “Good luck!”
You need strategy.
You need feedback.
You need support when the industry changes.
And sometimes you need someone to look at what you’re doing and say, “Here’s the piece we’re missing.”
An All-in-One Approach to Growing a Photography Business

One thing that surprised Hannah most about Passion to Profit was just how many areas of her business we could work on inside one program.
“Whether you need help with reshaping your inquiry page, guidance on pricing, aid in social media, upping your SEO, or building your email list, this program is SO versatile in what it offers and how it helps you.”
Because photography businesses aren’t static.
What worked two years ago might not work now.
Your business changes.
Your clients change.
The wedding industry changes.
Marketing changes approximately every five minutes. 😂
That’s why Passion to Profit continues evolving, too.
The goal isn’t to hand you one formula and expect you to follow it forever. It’s to help you understand your business well enough to make strategic decisions as you grow.
Meet Hannah Ellis Photography

Today, Hannah photographs weddings, couples, and seniors throughout Mississippi and beyond.
Her work has taken her to venues including Dodson Farm in Starkville, Mimosa Ridge in Livingston, Mallard’s Croft in Memphis, Barn & Bin in Starkville, and Mountain View Gardens & Ballroom in Birmingham.
She’s also photographed a destination wedding at Turning Stone Resort & Casino, which landed her work on the front page of a Syracuse, New York magazine.
In 2026, Hannah was also recognized locally with a Lee County Reader’s Choice Photography award.
And there are still plenty of dream locations on her list.
Stonehaven is one she’d love to photograph, especially since it’s less than three hours away, and a Colorado wedding is firmly on the photography bucket list.
When it comes to creating a great wedding day experience, Hannah also knows photographers don’t do it alone. She gives a special shoutout to Kelsie of KB Events, a local wedding planner Hannah describes as one of the best planners she’s ever worked with.
Hannah’s Advice to Photographers Considering Passion to Profit

So what would Hannah tell another photographer who’s sitting where she once was, wondering whether coaching is actually worth the investment?
Her answer is pretty simple. “If you want to truly scale your business, increase your inquiries, pricing, conversion, and visibility… it’s a no brainer that this is the program for you.”
And if the investment itself is the thing making you hesitate?
“Within the first 3 months of the program I got my highest wedding booking that paid for the whole program.”
Hannah didn’t need to become a different photographer to grow her business.
She needed the strategy, systems, messaging, pricing, and confidence to build a business around the photographer she already was.
And now?
She’s charging more.
She’s getting more inquiries.
She’s ranking on Google.
She’s converting more of the right clients.
And most importantly, she’s no longer wondering whether she’s capable of running the business she dreamed about building.
She’s doing it.
