Use Social Media to Grow Your Business

Social media is one of the best ways to get your name out there and find potential clients! So it’s important to know how to use it in the right way. Here are some of my tips to use social media to grow your business in a big way!

1. Use Social Media to Grow Your Business

So how do you actually use social media to bring in clients? And which platforms are the best to use, and how can they benefit your business? I want to answer that for you! I highly suggest using Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok, as these are the biggest traffic-driving platforms. You should use every social media you can mentally handle! It won’t do you any good if you are spreading yourself too thin.So if you kick butt at your Facebook game, keep it up and give that everything you’ve got. If you think you can handle more then slowly add on what you can handle, and go from there!

I personally put most of my energy into Pinterest and Instagram. On Facebook, I typically only have my Instagram posts double post to Facebook, or post a blog post. Tiktok is totally just for fun for me but also a very good way to grow your business and expand your reach to different platforms. I’ll go into a little more about how I use each platform and how they can be used for your business!

Instagram

I LOVE using Instagram for my business! I find it a great way to connect with not only former clients, but to attract those new clients as well! It is a great way to grow your business, but be sure that you put the necessary time and effort into the platform. Try to come up with a content calendar plan so you are posting consistently, whether that means how many posts per week, time of day, etc. That way you always know what’s coming next and can stay on top of your posts.

You should also try to utilize all of the many features Instagram has to offer, like Stories, Reels, Live, and IGTV. The platform enjoys when you are using all of their features, which actually prioritizes you in the algorithm on the platform. Instagram is a great place to display your branding and your style so clients can easily know what they would be getting from you!

Pinterest

Even though Pinterst is a search engine and not a social media, it still requires an action plan, and can grow your business tremendously. Creating a consistent pinning plan helps your engagement grow, so be sure to create that for yourself. Also make sure you are creating and pinning new content to Pinterest to be seen, because the platform favors new content and you want your pins to bring in that traffic!

Tailwind is a no brainer when it comes to scheduling and pinning all of my pins! I take a couple hours a month to get it all planned out and Tailwind does all the work for me to schedule, pin, and grow to get my work in front of an audience. If you want a simple way to grow your business on Pinterest then Tailwind is the way to go!

Facebook

I honestly don’t do much with Facebook, as I mentioned above. My Instagram is linked to my Facebook business page so when I post to Instagram it also posts the same post to Facebook. I do this because not everyone is only on Instagram and Facebook gets a different audience sometimes. It’s not much, but it’s important!

TikTok

TikTok is just something I have fun with! I don’t take the app or myself too seriously and just enjoy myself. I mostly post personal or pregnancy videos, but I have been able to grow my following to close to 60k in one month, and over 3.5 million views.

Growing my Tiktok actually helped me get my first 1,000 subscribers on YouTube and has also grown my Instagram following as well. It has helped me grow on all platforms and get me in front of a new audience I otherwise wouldn’t have.

2. Use Social Media to Drive Traffic to Your Offers

Social media is one of the best ways to drive traffic! So if you offer a service, have an eCommerce business, or sell a product, you should be utilizing social media to drive traffic to your offer. Use ALL social media platforms to attract your audience and viewers to what you have to offer to help scale your business.

Some people might find you on one platform, but would never find you on another. So don’t be afraid to repurpose your content to all platforms to get your offer out there. You want your services to be seen, so be sure it is out there for all kinds of potential clients!

3. Include a CTA

Across all platforms, make sure you are always adding a call to action to another platform, resource, how to get in touch with you, etc. Never leave your audience hangin! You want them to land on one of your platforms and be done from there. You should have other places to guide them, especially to where they can book you or get in touch with you. So be sure this is available on every one of your platforms!

BONUS #2: Use Videos on Social Media to Engage Your Audience

Videos are a great way to capture the attention of your audience! So using plenty of them on social media will keep your audience engaged and continue to grow. The attention span of people with social media nowadays is low, so people enjoy watching a quick video that is to the point.

Final Thoughts

Social media is key to growing a business nowadays and is the perfect way to drive traffic and bring in those clients! Take the time to optimize your social media use to get your content out there!
