We’re picking up and moving to New Zealand! 

Lol, jk. But I wouldn’t mind…..

We are moving back near our hometown by La Crescent, MN / La Crosse, WI area. Trent was offered and accepted a new job with a bow company called Mathews Inc. Which means we will need to pick up and move!!

Let me say, this decision was not an easy one to make. Although it’s not a super big move in terms of being only over an hour away, it was still a big decision! We just bought our house a year ago- which we absolutely adore and are obsessed with. This is our very first home together so it is super special to us! We also love all of the friends we have made here and will definitely be back to visit often. 🙂 At the end of the day, we are trying to do what is best for us, our future, and our future family someday… and we both agree that would be to take the job and move!

As crazy and hectic as the timing is with this opportunity, we feel so blessed to have it. Trent starts the job THIS WEEK! Yeah, this week. Lol. So, things have been a little hectic over here 🙂

It is bittersweet. I think that is the only word to describe it right now.

 

I can’t help but think back to the moment we said “I do.” The moment that changed my life commitments and focus. I think about what we vowed to each other: “I can’t promise you that life will always be easy, but I can promise you that you will never be alone.” We have been in constant reminder of that within the past couple weeks. Knowing that any decisions we make, we are in it together. “I will be by your side to grow with you, pray with you, and empower you to do the things that you dream.” I think we have done the best with this one. Trent truly was the one who pushed and inspired me to pursue photography as my career. I would NEVER have been able to do this without him for a number of reasons, but he empowered me to follow my dream. How selfish would that be if I didn’t do the same for him?! I also made that commitment to empower him to do the things that he dreams as well – so, we’re doin’ it!

 

So, what this means for Rachel Traxler Photography. My new location will be based out of the La Crosse, WI area. I will continue to market myself in the Minneapolis + Rochester areas as well as anywhere for travel. I will just have to get creative with expanding my business into the Wisconsin areas as well. Trent and I are so excited for this upcoming season of life, and we are confident that God is leading us to where he wants us to be.
